What is Futures League?
Futures League is a competition program that promotes participation in a fun, positive individual and team-based competition structure. Futures League is suited to athletes who are in a recreational program but want to add a competition element to their gymnastics enjoyment. It’s enjoyable for all but allows athletes to grow and progress.
How many hours of training will be required if selected for futures league team?
Depending on the “Futures league” level that your child has been selected for, hours of training per week will differ. For example:
Level 3= 3 hours of training across two sessions per week
Level 4= 4 hours of training across two sessions per week

How many spots are available?
There are 3 teams with a maximum of 10 per team.
How many Futures League competitions will the teams compete in?
Futures League gymnasts will compete in 3 competitions throughout 2026. Competitions will be held in various locations in Melbourne.
How do I join Futures League?
Each year we will hold try outs for our gymnasts to become part of the Futures Leagues program. Similar to gymnastics testing week, where gymnasts perform skills within their level and get assessed based on how well the skill is performed.
Results will be back within two weeks of testing. You will receive a phone call from us inviting you to a team if your gymnast is selected.
Uniform Requirements
Uniform requirements for “Futures League” include custom Y Leisure City leotards, track pants, and jacket.
