Our Junior Tennis Competitions allow our students to put the skills they’ve learnt during their lessons to the test. The Y Leisure City provides a range of competition options for various skill levels and ages.
Under the close guidance of our supportive coaches, the introductory Orange ball competition helps students to understand how to score, compete and develop their match play skills against one another.
Our Green Ball competition provides students higher level match play against each other developing their tactical awareness of the game. Our programs make the transition from lessons to playing competitive tennis much easier.
We also currently host a girls’ and boys’ team in the Saturday morning North Eastern Junior Tennis Association (NEJTA) competition. This external competition is held during the school terms, providing our students the opportunity to compete against teams from other clubs in the North East region in a home and away format.
Each team generally consists of 5 or 6 members playing on a rotational basis each week.
This competition is suitable for Yellow Ball players who are ready to compete on a more consistent basis against external competitors.
