Kids Birthday Party FAQs

Q: What is the extra cost for the additional host?

A: If you have over 15 children attending your party, you must have an additional host to assist. An additional host is $100 on top of the party cost.

Q: What can we do for children who have allergies?

A: If you have children attending the party that have allergies, you can bring your own food for children with allergies.

Q: What about children under 4?

A: Children under 4 years are not able to participate in our Sports parties however under 4’s can attend our Childs Play Area and will still receive party food. Please note children attending Childs Play must be supervised by a parent/guardian.

 Q: Can we bring in decorations?

A: You are more than welcome to bring in your own party decorations, however they must be a stand alone decoration. Decorations must not be stuck to windows or walls within the Centre.

Q: How is the party run/structure?

Gymnastics Party – 1 hour and 20 minutes of free play/structured play (depending on what you would prefer) on the gymnastic equipment with the party host and 40 minutes for food and cake at the end of the party.

Sports Party – total of 1 hour and 20 minutes of sports activities and 40 minutes of food time. The birthday is celebrated with cake at the end of the party.

Childs Play – children’s food will come out 40 minutes into the party and the cake celebration at the end of the party.

 Q: How to book and pay?

A: All birthday party bookings must booked and paid for via our website leisurecity.ymca.org.au and cannot be taken over the phone. If you need assistance with booking a party, please attend the Centre and we’ll be happy to assist. Please note, upfront payment is required at the time of booking.

 Q: How many items of food per child?

A: The food served is equivalent to 1 party pie, 1 sausage roll, 2 frankfurts, 2 nuggets and a small chips per child. If a child cannot have one of these items, alternatives can be provided.

 Q: Is there a spot for parents to sit?

A: We have a parent’s table set up for each of our parties for parents to sit at and enjoy food and coffee together.

 Q: Can we bring in our own cake?

A: You are welcome to bring in your own cake for your party or we can provide an ice cream cake for you at an additional cost.

Q:  Do they need to bring in their own candles/cake toppers?

A: You should aim to bring in your own candles and cake toppers of your preference however we can provide candles if you need.

Q: Can the children just choose 1 sport for a Sports Party?

A: Yes, you can choose up to three sports for a Sports Party however you can choose to play one or two for the whole duration.
